Hotels near Fortaleza
Only 10 miles from Fortaleza and close to the airport at the resort of Porto das Dunas is the Beach Hotel. This is the most superior and expensive of the resort hotels and offers only suites.
Some 50 miles north of Fortaleza is Cumbuco with one of the best beaches in North-East Brazil. The Dolphin Hotel at Cumbuco is the simplest and the best value of the Beach resort hotels.
The Hotel Oasis is built on the Praia das Fontes, some 50 miles south og Fortaleza but much closer to the airport. It is part of a Portuguese chain, that are generally well-managed. It offers only a totally inclusive rate.
The Mustique is at Jerico and has simple accomodation befitting its poistion in a remote fishing village. Nearby is the modern Hotel Boa Vista at Camocim.
Hotels in Fortaleza
The hotels are grouped at either end of the Avenida Beira-Mar which runs right along the beach front.
Hotel Marina Park Fortaleza is in the heart of the town along the main promenade. It is built right next to the Marina.
Hotel Fortaleza and Imperial are together at the other end of the Avenida. They are owned by the same group and differ mostly in price and comfort level.
The Vila Gale is at Praia do Futuro on the north-eastern outskirts.

All hotels are B&B except for the Oasis which is Full Board only. Half Board is available from £49 to £89 for a week.
